Jama Masjid food for VEGETARIANS !
What is the first thing that comes to your mind when someone says Jama Masjid Food ?
Kebabs and Kormas ! Right?
But little do people know that the area around Jama Masjid has so much to offer to vegetarians as well. Even I didnt know , till this happened.
It was a food walk organised by “Delhi By Foot” . Ramit – our host and guide- had already told us the motto of this food walk- “eat till you can” and we all came prepared for that. We started the walk at around 10 in the morning and all we did for the rest of the day was eat,eat and eat. Checkout the video at the end.
Highlights of the day were:
- Kheer at Old Kheer shop.
- Kulhad Chat at Hira Laal Chaat Corner.
- Fruit Sandwich at Jain Coffee House.
- Chicken Changhezi at Al-Jawahar Restaurant ( had to try the NON VEG as well :D ).
- And climbing to the top of the Minaret of Jama Masjid.
Yes, you just have to buy a Rs. 10 ticket and you can climb to the top of the left Minaret and see the Red Fort and the densely populated Old Delhi.
